Professional Experience
As a Prosecutor, Joe Castrofort specialized in Domestic Violence and DUI cases, gaining extensive experience in the Juvenile Courts, Criminal Intake Division, and handling felonies ranging from drug possession and trafficking to property and violent crimes. After serving over four years as a State Prosecutor, Joe transitioned to private practice.
Background and Education
Joe Castrofort was born in Puerto Rico and grew up in Miami. He graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.S. in Criminal Justice in 1998 and received his Law Degree from Nova Southeastern University. Joe was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2001 and began his legal career as a State Prosecutor in Orange and Osceola counties.
Teaching and Mentorship
Beyond his practice, Joe Castrofort has also contributed to the field of criminal justice as an adjunct professor. He has had the pleasure of seeing his former students succeed in various fields, including law enforcement, corrections, and law.
